Relaxed Sophistication

Bella Hadid, Jessica Alba, and Chrissy Teigen make a habit of regularly visiting the laid-back tropical idyll of St. Barth’s, so why shouldn’t you?

If you’ve got the means to do so, we – as highly seasoned travellers that have seen every corner of the earth – can think of very few places better to spend time in than this delightful island.

Because although it offers so much in the way of high-end shops and top restaurants, it’s just so laid-back and welcoming in a way that some places favoured by the A-list just aren’t. It’s the kind of place where you can stroll into a Michelin-starred restaurant in a pair of sandals and a sarong, and nobody will bat an eyelid. Imagine doing that in some places in Europe or the USA…

A Garden Of Gourmet Delights

There are a number of reasons why St Barth’s has carved itself out a reputation as one of the world’s most glamorous destinations; not least because it’s bursting at the seams with truly fabulous places to eat.

Latin-French restaurant Bonito Saint Barth is a celebrity hotspot celebrated for its famous salmon tiradito; while the spectacular On the Rocks – perched high above St Jean Bay – must be among the most romantic restaurants in the world.

Mouth-watering dishes like spiny lobster ravioli and wagyu beef gyoza are the order of the day at Orega; while the incredible food at the likes of L’Isola and Black Ginger keep the well-heeled coming back time-and-time again. Furthermore, there are a whole host of Michelin-starred chefs desperate to open on the island in the near future.

Nights To Truly Remember

And if it’s bacchanalian joy you’re seeking, you’ll certainly find it on the island of Saint Barthelemy.

Le Ti St-Barth, Bagatelle, Modjo St Barts are considered to be some of the hottest night spots in the world, offering wild nights that you’ll never forget.

And, with investment piling into the island in an effort to sate the desires of the A-listers that make St Barth’s their annual retreat, you can count on there being more and more places to enjoy some of the best times of your life.

Variety Is The Spice Of Life

There are 16 different beaches on the island of St. Barth’s. And when we say different, we mean different.

Take secluded Saline Beach, for instance, where going topless is the norm; or the isolated haven of Colombier, a favourite among locals, not least because it is only accessible by boat or a 30-minute hike, thereby keeping prying eyes at bay.

And then there are the more populated and vibrant Eden Rock or Nikki Beach; or surfer beaches Toiny or Lorient; or the snorkelers’ paradises of Gouverneur and Petite Anse.

But when it comes to sundowners, there’s only one place to be: the magical Shell Beach, which is home to the famed Do Brazil, where the jet-set go to enjoy cocktails at tables in the sand.
